Tip of the Week, 11.03.10: Magic Sales Word: ‘You’

There is one word that can transform a flat leaflet or brochure into a far more engaging piece of sales material: ‘you’.

When you are writing a sales document you need to engage your reader. A simple way to do this is by addressing the audience directly, using the word ‘you’.

The next time you write a sales piece have a look at whether you are effectively using the word ‘you’ and notice how it changes the tone of the whole piece.
